Throughout her extensive career, Ilonka Karasz worked across many media, including wallcoverings, textiles, lighting, ceramics, metalwork, toys, and furniture. She is best known for her New Yorker magazine cover illustrations. Her sculptural metal pieces are rare and valuable, reflecting a modernist and futurist style. A bowl, a part of this same limited collection, was once exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
