Parawing Stash 2025

Take flight with the innovative STASH from Duotone – a revolutionary Parawing designed to redefine your foiling experience.

The STASH features a unique single-skin design complemented by double-skin tips, focusing on stable flight and smooth depower. This combination ensures functionality across a wider range of wind conditions and riding angles, while maintaining the lightest and most compact packing for those craving the pure sensation of gliding for miles.

Meticulously refined over months by wing and kite designer Ken Winner alongside Downwind experts Finn and Jeffrey Spencer, the STASH goes beyond being just a tool to get on foil. It addresses the challenges of achieving ultimate free-flight, making it accessible to a broader audience.

Crafted from a special ultra-light 30g paragliding ripstop canopy, it offers earlier lift-off, prolonged airtime, smaller pack size, and superior gust damping for enhanced comfort. The design departs from traditional kite and wing materials, incorporating thinner bridle lines to reduce drag and weight, further optimizing packing and performance.

Combining the best of single- and double-skin technologies, the STASH delivers powerful yet easy-to-pack performance. Its closed-cell tips enable gradual depower through a simple wrist movement, while maintaining filled and controlled tips at all times. A stabilized leading edge and reduced ribs enhance flying stability, minimize drag, and facilitate effortless stashing.

Packing, sorting, and re-launching are streamlined with three differently colored bridle sections, a colored mid-section on the leading edge to indicate the re-launch grip point, and an ergonomic Carbon bar marked to show steering direction – all designed to make free flight more approachable.

Ultimately, the STASH delivers the sensation of True Foiling when your Parawing is neatly stashed away!

Recommended Board & Foil Setup

Parawinging presents a unique challenge compared to Wing Foiling; balancing on the board requires more skill due to the absence of an inflated wing. Beginners are advised to use a larger board for stability during initial attempts.

Foiling demands more legwork, so a larger Glide foil, similar to those used in SUP Downwind Foiling, is recommended. A key advantage is the ability to foil with significantly shorter boards, such as the Skybrid, which pairs perfectly with the STASH. Existing Downwinders also serve well, especially for first runs.

To support successful sessions, tailored recommendations based on rider weight and skill level are provided, ensuring optimal board and foil combinations.

Is it a Wing? Is it a Kite?

Parawings are the latest trend in foiling sports, merging a parafoil-kite-like uninflated structure with very short bridle lines. This design creates a compact unit between rider and wing, with board and foil sizes falling between Wing and Downwind Foiling disciplines.

Downwind Foiling is among the purest and most rewarding gliding experiences but also one of the most challenging to master. The STASH offers an easier, less physical start compared to classic paddle-up methods, and can be packed away and redeployed as needed, opening new possibilities for enjoying miles of pure foiling sensation.

Leveraging unmatched expertise in kite and wing design, the STASH is crafted to tackle ocean swells and bumps with ease and comfort, then be stashed away for the ultimate ride.

Single Skin vs. Double Skin Advantages

+ Single skin offers a higher coefficient of lift, delivering more power for the same wing size
+ Double skin provides greater flying stability, especially at higher riding angles
+ Single skin packs smaller and requires no drainage
+ Single skin with double-skin tips drains quicker after water immersion
+ This hybrid design is more stable when depowered than full single-skin wings

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.

delightful read
Format: Kindle
What a delightful read. The characters are awesome, the plot was so good, I loved it. I was intrigued and it kept me wanting more. Told in multiple pov, the book sucks you in and doesn’t let go. I cannot wait to read the next book.
